Our History:
40 Years of Commitment
REAMS is an acronym for the original members of the family business.
R – Ronald: Son
E – Ernie: Father
A – Adelaide: Mother
M – Michael: Son
S – Sister (Debra): Daughter
Ernest J. Bousquet (E.J.) started out in the sprinkler contracting business in 1958 as a part-time venture. E.J. and his sons installed sprinklers on nights and weekends under the name Lawn Rainmakers.
In 1970, the decision was made to incorporate the contracting business as E.J. Bousquet & Sons. Over the next few years, the company evolved into a strong regional player in the residential and commercial markets.
In late 1975, the Bousquet’s decided the company’s future was in wholesale distribution. As a result, the company’s name was changed to REAMS Sprinkler Supply Co., Inc.
The first store was opened in Omaha, Nebraska in January of 1976 as an Irrigation Wholesale Distributor with the Rain Bird line of irrigation products.
Today, over 40 years later, in addition to Irrigation, REAMS has diversified into Landscape Lighting, Water Features, Drainage, and other Outdoor Living products.
From our humble beginnings as a family business started on a kitchen table, REAMS has grown into an industry leader by continuing to be committed to our Customers success.
